Last Days Alliances Forming
A great battle is predicted in the 38th and 39th chapters of the book of Ezekiel...It is called the Battle of Gog and Magog. The prophet Ezekiel, inspired by the Holy Spirit, was enabled to look 2,500 years into the future to see that God would draw numerous allied nations to attack His people, Israel.
God's purpose in doing this is to set an ambush for these enemies of His people so that He can destroy their armies with a show of His supernatural power. The 3 most powerful of these nations are predicted to be Rosh (Russia), Persia (Iran) and Tubal (Turkey).
Here are parts of that prophecy...
"Thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I am against you, O Gog,prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army ... all of them brandishing their swords. Persia, Cush and Put will be with them ..."
"In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate... You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land ... I will punish you and your hordes with disease and bloodshed; I will send torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and burning sulfur!"
"Thus will I show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the Lord! I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I show myself holy through you..."

There is no possible way that the prophet Ezekiel, writing 2,500 years ago, could have foreseen that Russia (Rosh) would become a world super-power with strong economic and geo-political interests in the middle-east! Only a supernatural God who is "able to see the end from the beginning" could have inspired the writer of these scriptures to prophecy events as He did!
